In landscaping and agriculture, geotextiles improve soil management by preventing weed growth, controlling erosion, and enhancing irrigation efficiency. Their use in green roofs and urban infrastructure supports sustainability goals by promoting vegetation growth and managing stormwater runoff.

The manufacturing of geotextiles includes woven, non-woven, and knitted varieties, each suited for specific engineering needs. Non-woven geotextiles, for example, are often preferred for filtration and drainage due to their random fiber orientation and high permeability. Woven geotextiles offer superior strength and are ideal for reinforcement applications.

With growing global infrastructure development and increased emphasis on sustainable construction practices, the demand for geotextiles is on the rise. Innovations such as biodegradable geotextiles and enhanced polymer blends are driving new opportunities in eco-friendly projects.
